Hiring the Hall

PLEASE NOTE: The phone is not manned all the time but there is an answer machine, so please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

It is useful when contacting the booking secretary if you can have the following information to hand;
Your full name, address, postcode, phone number and E-mail address
Your preferable hire date, start and finish time
An alternative hire date, start and finish time
The type of function (i.e. child’s party, meeting or sale)
If you will be selling or providing alcohol
If you require use of the Stage lighting, full or basic

Payment for Single Use hire will be required before the hire
Any other details you feel we need or should know

What the Hall provides for your money:

Main Hall
If hiring the main hall you get the use of the Stage, Kitchen and rear Committee room – although the Committee room can be hired separately since it has separate access.

Heating, Electricity, Chairs, tables, crockery and cutlery are all included within the hire fee.
There is also a small installed PA / Induction loop system and a basic stage lighting setup that is available for use although a deposit would be required for the hand held radio microphone.

Other Equipment:
Full stage lighting and sound equipment as required for a play or show belongs to Kelvedon Players can be hired separately from them. Click here for contact details.

Small Hall
If hiring the Small hall you get use of the grassed area to the side of the hall.

Heating, Electricity, Chairs, tables, crockery and cutlery are all included within the hire fee.

Car Parking

Situated behind the Institute Hall, with the entrance down the side of the Conservative Club is the Kelvedon Parish Council Community Car Park. This car park is pay and display.

Charges are:
Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm
Up to 2 Hours £0.50
Up to 3 Hours £1.50
Up to 4 Hours £2.00
4 hours and over £6.00
Monday to Saturday 6pm to Midnight: £1.00
Monday to Saturday Midnight to 8am: Free Parking
Sunday: Free Parking
4 hours free parking for Disabled Permit holders
