Can You Help

The Institute Hall is a registared charity and a separate entity from Kelvedon Parish Council. It is run by a Management Committee whose members act as Trustees and are governed by the Deed of Trust of 1980 and the Charity Commission rules.

The Hall has no independent endowment or source of income other than that derived from hiring fees. The expenses of running the Hall, including routine maintenance and repairs to the structure of the property, have to be paid for solely from these.

For over 100 years, generations of residents from Kelvedon and the surrounding area have voluntarily given their time to help manage and maintain the Hall, so that it is available for all to enjoy. In order to ensure that it continues to be available for future generations, we need volunteers. Can you help?

Trustees
The Management Committee needs a steady turnover of Trustees to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the running of the Hall. This is not a particularly onerous commitment, and as a member of the Committee you will be involved at the heart of village life. If you would like to find out more, please contact the Chair of the Committee, currently Barry French, on 07792 674588 or email chairperson@kelvedoninstitute.co.uk

Other Volunteers
In addition to volunteers to serve as trustees, the Management Committee is always grateful to have people willing to help out from time to time. If you would like to put your name forward to be available to help out on these occasions, please contact the Chair of the Committee, currently Barry French, on 07792 674588 or email chairperson@kelvedoninstitute.co.uk or one of the other trustees.
